Pre-tour information
Once you have booked your holiday we will send you a practical guide to help you prepare for your tour. This will provide further information on the region you are visiting, what to bring and what to expect on your holiday. It is essential that you carefully study this and adhere to the guidance therein.

Flight supplements and changes to brochured airlines
All international flights featured in our tours are costed at special contract rates and are subject to availability at the time of booking. Whilst every effort will be made to provide the seats we intend to offer, this may not always be possible. On occasion we may only be able to offer the same flight at a supplement, or book you onto another airline whereby a supplement may also be required. You will have the choice of accepting the supplement or opting for an alternative departure date. 

Changes to hotels
During the life of our brochure we monitor the standard of service provided by the hotels advertised. Should this standard of service not be maintained to the satisfactory level, we will change the hotel to a more suitable alternative. On occasion, brochured hotels may be unable to accommodate our tour, in which case we shall stay at a suitable alternative.

High altitude
Some of the regions we visit are at high altitude which may affect you on your holiday. We have taken this into consideration when planning our tours to ensure that you ascend slowly to help acclimatise. When this is not possible, we allow extra time for you to rest and acclimatise. However, you may still experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness and shortness of breath. Plenty of water and rest can effectively reduce these symptoms. 

Hygiene
Hygiene is always a concern for most travellers to developing countries, but by sticking to a few rules, you can generally avoid the frequently encountered irritation in some countries.

Health
Tetanus inoculations are recommended for all countries featured in this brochure. Hepatitis A, Polio and typhoid inoculations are recommended and should be up to date for the following countries: BhutanIndia, Laos, Malaysia,Thailand and Vietnam.
No inoculations are compulsory with the exception of Yellow Fever if you have transited through a Yellow Fever zone. Malaria is present in a number of the destinations we visit, please consult your GP for up to date health advice.

All tours organised by CTS Horizons are within the capabilities of any reasonably active person and no age limit is imposed.  However, our tours are not suitable if you are confined to a wheelchair or have reduced mobility. Please note that embarking and disembarking from boats and trains and exploring sites on foot could prove a strain for some travellers. We will endeavour to take reasonable measures to accommodate travellers of special needs. However, due to the nature of the regions we operate in we are unable to guarantee that we will be able to provide special assistance. If you have any doubts about your ability to participate fully in any aspect of our tours, please forward your query in writing to our Reservations Department and we will be happy to advise. CTS Horizons cannot be held responsible for any circumstance arising out of a failure of the client to disclose a disability or pre-existing medical condition.
Travellers aged 80 and over will be required to submit a doctor’s letter no later than 8 weeks prior to departure, confirming that they are fit to undertake the tour booked.
